Nancy Giles-McIntosh is a Certified Critical Care Nurse with 34 years of experience. Formerly retired, she answered the call to return to assist during COVID-19 without hesitation! Nancy’s passion for her work earned her an RNAO Fellowship, and led her to help begin the IMPACT Program. After the first wave, she continued work at the Carling Heights COVID Assessment Center to support her community.

Paediatric Acquired Brain Injury Community Outreach Program is an outreach program for children and adolescents with diagnosed, acquired brain injuries and their families. The team is dedicated to providing client focused care, collaborating with local organizations to help clients with funding and eligibility, and to increase support. Members also helped develop Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation pediatric concussion guidelines.

The Mohamed Family are dedicated to giving back to the community. Early in the COVID-19 pandemic they purchased vehicles and put them to work transporting hundreds to Testing Centres to minimize risk of exposure. They also assisted the Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre Inner Health Alliance Team, the House of Friendship Shelter, and St. Mary’s Hospital.

Shrenik Parikh is a volunteer and donor for Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation, who works to open doors across Windsor-Essex. Shrenik is part of the India Canada Association whose annual gala supports Windsor Regional Hospital. His community group raised funds for the hospital during COVID-19, allowing for the purchase of life saving equipment.

Shannon Sinclair is an Occupational Therapist who works with individuals with various functional issues, including mental health challenges, homelessness, addictions, and trauma subsequent to vehicle collisions. She also runs a local breakfast program, snack program, community cleanup initiatives, food drives, donation drives and movie nights to support her community members.
